[working experience]A gap of days between 2 jobs

Hi, Guys

Firstly, thank you for reading my post.

I started working from July 2014, and until now, it lasts for about 5 years and 8 months.
In 2014 July, I changed my employer without changing my occupation and the industry.
The problem is that during that transaction, I had an unemployment of 14 days, which was unintentional and inevitable because of those companies' schedules.

In this case, I tend to claim myself with a 4-5-year working experience continuously, instead of a 2-3-year work(from July 2014, when I was unemployed for 14 days, to now).

My doubts are
1. I wonder if I am right
2. Or if there is some risk that in case CIC accuses me of misrepresentation, and how I could justify myself.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Regards

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
The continuity requirement is only relevant to meet the eligibility criteria of the FSW program. That is, of a SINGLE year of continuous work experience in your primary NOC.

With all other work experiences even if there are gaps you can add them all up to claim X years of work experience.

Hi,

Thank you firstly!

It's great to know your answer. But how would you explain the following requirement -

In case of the failure of showing this screenshot, I pasted the page of CIC website for checking the eligibility of applying for PR, mentioning working experience.

Find out if you're eligible to apply

In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation. (required)

Thanks for clarification

This question is assessing whether the candidate has the one year of continuous work experience to be eligible. Like @DelPiero07 said, the continuity is important for the one year minimum requirement.

Thank you all! @DelPiero07 @picklee

Now, one more doubt that it is said that a candidate could not sum up the additional months of the periods of different jobs to claim 1 year more experience in case that sum is more than 12 months.
Let me say, I have 2 jobs, one is 1 year and 11 months, and another one is 3 year and 8 months. In this case, I ONLY have 4 years of experience, instead of 5 years.

Is this right?

Thank you !

That's 5 years for CRS purposes, although kind of irrelevant as the maximum points you can claim for foreign work experience is 3 years.

If you're talking about the six selection factors then it is also 5 years assuming the NOC is the same.
