I worked remotely from my home country for 9 weeks should my reference letter mention it since I'm claiming points for 2 years of experience in Canada?

You will need to state your work experience using multiple entries when you were in Canada, weeks aboard where up to 2 weeks of paid vacation a year can be counted towards Canadian work experience but the rest of the time will be considered foreign work experience and then work period when you returned to Canada. You may also want to include a letter of explanation. Unclear if you took any other paid vacation time that year or whether you had paid vacation time.

Thanks @canuck78. That makes sense, so when I created the profile, I mentioned those 9 weeks in a separate entry with country of location as my home country. Now that, I have received the ITA is it fine to move this to personal history and remove it from work history or keep it there. Additionally my reference letter would state the duration of my employment from Jan 2, 2024 - present. Should it mention that I worked remotely from my home country for 9 weeks with the exact duration?

Would keep it in your work history because it is much easier for IRCC to see that you were working from your home country but continued working for the same employer that way. You can include a LOE to clarify the situation.

but they can check that through personal history as well, right? The reason of moving this into personal history is because I'm not claiming any points for it. In fact to avoid confusion, I have asked my employer to add the timeline of my remote work employment from my home country in the reference letter, so that they can see it.
This is how the intro of my reference letter would look like:

"This letter is to confirm that [Name] has been continuously employed with [Employer] since January 2, 2024 and is currently employed in a full-time permanent position. From June 21, 2024 to August 23, 2024, [Name] temporarily performed their duties remotely while physically outside Canada in [country], and from August 24, 2024 onward resumed performing the role from Canada. All positions listed below represent continuous full-time employment (40 hours per week) with no gaps."

But if you still suggest to keep it in work history section, I'll do the same
