Hi Seniors,

I am currently in my home country today and will be back in canada on may 05 for landing. My question is, my husband is on open work permit but i think i left it in canada. He is landing with me and what he have now is his old permit with expiry of may 05 , 2014. Would there be a problem when we do our landing on the same date his work permit expires? Please help

Nope it wont be as far as you got Single entry visa along with COPR. When they issue you single entry visa along with COPR all other documents issued by CIC becomes invalid i.e. any kind of Work permit, visa. Officer might ask for it but mostly they don't.

thanks Goku,

Now i asked my friend in edmonton, she and her husband were asked for their work permits when they did their visa stamping ( landing) in Canada Place in edmonton. Im worried

One more thing I forgot to mention is if you hold any work permit right now with you not in Canada then show it to CBSA officer if asked. If not then tell someone to mail that permit to you. A little headache but worth its worth it.
OR
I would say then make to a call to CBSA and discuss it with them. Here is the contact info:
