Hey , my work permit support letter expired in June and I want to apply for an updated one. Has anyone gone through the same situation and please share the timeline. Do we also just upload the original nomination certificate or we get a new one for the wp application?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I am in the same boat now. Did you manage to apply for a extension and how long did they take to send it?

Hello,

BC PNP IPG - Non Express
To request a BC PNP work permit support letter, you need to do it through the official BC PNP online portal after you’ve already been nominated.
The main eligibility requirements are:
you already have a valid BC PNP nomination
  • your current work permit is expiring soon
  • you submitted your PR application to IRCC before your nomination expired
  • you still meet the nomination conditions (same employer/job unless officially changed) The official BC guide says the request must be submitted through BCPNP Online.
  • Here’s the process:
Go to the official BC PNP portal:
BC PNP Online Portal
  1. Log in and open:
    • My Dashboard
    • your active nomination file
    • Post-Nomination Support
    • Work Permit Support Letter
  2. Upload supporting documents. Usually they ask for:
    • current work permit
    • proof you submitted PR application (AOR or submission confirmation)
    • recent pay stubs
    • sometimes updated job offer/employment confirmation
    • passport copy if requested
  3. Submit the request.

BC PNP then reviews it and, if approved, issues a support letter you can use for an LMIA-exempt work permit application with IRCC.

Hi @Miss bee ,

I already submitted my PR application under Non Express Entry and currently awaiting to receive AOR.

I was reviewing the post-nomination guide and for IPG they specifically mention to upload
  • Copy of signed job offer
  • Detailed job description
Should I get a new signed job offer letter from my employer or can I use the one which I already submitted for PR application and this letter already included job responsibilities.

Also, once BC PNP issues the support letter then do I have to apply for T13 work permit meaning that it will be a closed work permit even though my nomination had no employer restrictions or employee mentioned on it?

Can you please guide?

Thanks in advance!!!
