I'm a US citizen and I work remotely for a transcription company based in the US. I convert audio files to text and work exclusively online. I'm interested in taking a road trip through Canada and I'm wondering if I'm allowed to work my job while I'm there. I read that "long distance (by telephone or Internet) work done by a temporary resident whose employer is outside Canada and who is remunerated from outside Canada;" is not classified as work but I'm wondering if this applies to my circumstance. Do I need to apply for any special permits or visa?
Thanks!

Are any of the clients / customers you deal with Canadian or located in Canada? This is the other requirement that needs to be met (as well as the working being online and the employer being outside of Canada) - you cannot be dealing with any Canadian customers / clients / companies or working on projects that benefit them.
