Hi,
My cousin applied for work permit and got it for 16 months. She did a 2 year program and other students from same course got it for 3 years. They all had same documents and we submitted all the documents. Her passport is not expiring anytime soon either.
I wanted to know what would be the potential next steps? I saw that we can apply for reconsideration Can someone suggest me how can I apply for reconsideration?

Thanks for your help and time.

Regards,
Dalveer Singh

She can send a Webform to inquire about it.

Hi Thanks for taking your time to look into it. I have submitted a web form and again submitted the letters of graduation along with the inquiry. I have been reading online that she can apply for reconsideration but I don't seem to find how can i do that? Does this mean opening a new application and again submitting it?

There is no formal reconsideration process.

Hi Scylla thanks. So apart form submitting a web form what else can she do?

That's pretty much it. Submit the web form, provide as much information as possible and then wait.

Just wanted to know what are the chances that they will approve for 3 years. Because a lot of other students got it for 3 years.

I totally understand. I am just bit worried and wondering how is it fair that for same course she gets 16 months work permit and others get 3 years after submitting same documents.
How is it fair? Each application is looked at individually. Doesn't mean someone else's application will be applied to you. Visa officers may make a mistake and give someone 2 years instead of 16 months. This is entirely at their discretion.

I applied for a work permit , i received three ghosts but no update still my status shows application submitted.i realized also that my job offers contains many mistakes as my employer does not know how to type a contract well,he said it is fine.what do you advise?
