Work Permit Processing Times & Next steps at NY consulate for Live-in Caregiver

Hello,
Wondering if anyone can provide their experience in getting their work visa through the NY consulate for the live-in caregiver program. Here is our situation:
- Received positive LMO for Filipino nanny currently living in Bermuda
- Applied for work permit at the end of March and still waiting to hear from the consulate who says they are processing applications from Feb still!

I'm wondering how long it took others from start to finish to get their work permit? If the office grants the permit but then requires a medical exam and interview, how long could this take? If you already have an LMO, does it speed up the process?

Hi,

I want to follow this post since we are on the same boat. In my case I have not submitted my application yet because i am waiting for a positive LMO from my employer, hopefully it will release end of this month. I am applying in New Yok since that is the nearest Canadian Consulate from where I am staying and I am also a Filipino Did you mail yout application or applied online? Also which bank did you use for payment.
