Work Permit Processing Times 2023

Hi All,

We have submitted Work Permit application on 14th Feb 2023 and received correspondence on 14th Feb 2023 for Biometrics. Submitted Biometrics on 20th Feb2023.
Can anyone advise on the timelines when we can expect Medicals. Thanks in advance.

Check IRCC website. Also depends upon the stream. GSS or some tech streams you may get the WP in less than two weeks.

You can do upfront medical exam

Yeah, upfront medical can be done for work permits and Student permit applications. Just upload your medical exam proofs through the webform once done.

What is your NOC?. High/Low skill. This played major role in IRCC timeframe of response to your application, don't mind the response timeframe you see on their website.

NOC is 2171 -Information Systems analysts and consultants. Website it shows 8 weeks, so may be this week or next we might receive an update hopefully.

Hi DS14, Can you advise when your Employer applied for LMIA and how long it took to get an interview call? As well as which country are you coming from? if possible what was the timeline for this? Your response is appreciated!

We are applying from India and it shows 8 weeks processing time. Application submitted Feb 14th 2023 - same day they asked for Biometrics and submitted on 20th Feb 2023 - till now no update.

Mine… its been 5weeks and no updates agter the biometric

I applied SOWP for my wife and 2 kids(5 years old).
Application submitted - 8th Feb(but site shows Feb 9 IST)
Medicals Passed & review eligibility started - 1st March around 9.30 pm CST(but IRCC page shows March 2nd).
This thursday would be 8 weeks of processing time. Not sure if they count 8 weeks processing time for work permit or 10 weeks processing time for study permit.
