Work Permit Process and Restrictions for OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

Hello,

I am currently residing in GTA as an International Student. I work for a big company part time during the semester and full time during summer. My employer is considering to provide me a full time job offer for OINP application. I would like to know little more about the process of getting my PR and Work permit.

1. When I get nominated and have my work permit support letter from OINP, do I apply to IRCC and get an open work permit or do I just get a specific work permit which will allow me to work for only specified employer?
2. During CRS Calculation it gives me 600 extra points for being nominated but is this program eligible for express entry? I heard that not all nomination programs are eligible for express entry but couldn't find information on whether this one is eligible for express entry or not. 3. If this program is not eligible for express entry, does the PR process really take more than 24 months for non express entry applications? What happens if something goes south while I am waiting for my PR? Will I be out of status?

Did you read through OINP International Student stream guidelines? You need to submit an EOI. It is not an EE program. It is based on OINP score. Yes processing is that long.
