Work Permit Paper Filing from India Processing time

Hi All,

I applied for WP thru paper filing on August last week. Based on cic site it is showing 13 weeks which I am not sure if it is for online or paper application.

I came to know that one guy got within 6 weeks of time (paper filing, applied in July 2016) so I am kind of unsure when can I expect it to be done.

Please let me know if anyone has idea on this.

I would like to known: - did you get your work permit? How long it takes for paper processing? I have also applied online.

Hi Reema,

I got refusal but online used to take 4-5 weeks and paper one 5-6 weeks.

Hi Harish,

Sad to hear that. The work permit can be refused even if the applicant has the employment offer? If you don't mind me asking why did they refuse? Because as far as I am aware that once you have employment reference then it is easy to get the work permit.

It was ICT so if documentations are not good enough it may result into refusal.

Dear Harish,

Did CIC mention that which document was missing in your application? How long it took for CIC to respond on your application? Did you send your application to Canadian Consulate, Banglore?
