work permit from outside canada question

I want to ask i got letter approved my work permit application, with big validity date for 2 years. is it true or they make a mistake? beacuse on cic web its says only 1year.
And i want to ask if the officer in the airport when i will land can refuse to give me a wp? even if i got an approve letter

If your have the LMIA, valid job offer and letter of introduction for work permit then you should be allowed to board a plane and enter.

So your employer doesn’t need you? What does your job letter say for start date if you have a closed permit?

He does not need me at the moment. so i have some time. my contract starts upon arriving in canada and getting the work permit approved. beacuse of the covid its a problem to get the truck driver licence. i just dont wont that my poe letter will get expired

You must enter Canada before POE letter expires so one year.
