Work Permit for Spouse

We already applied for the PR through MB PNP. According to the CIC, I can apply for an Open Work Permit while waiting for our File Number. My question is, can I work full time while I am waiting for the work permit?
I am currently under a student permit.

Usually to get an open work permit while you wait for a PR application to be processed, you already need to be working on a valid work permit. But if you are indeed able to do so you would have to wait until you receive the permit to begin working full-time.
