I’m currently on a spouse open work permit (dependent on my spouse closed work permit). Our current work permits are expiring on June 6th.
My spouse’s employer is extending her contract and she will apply to extend her closed work permit in the next two weeks. I want to extend my open work permit together with her. However, I’m currently in India and wouldn’t be able to travel back before the expiration.
1. Can I apply for work permit extension from outside or do I have to be physically present in Canada?? Specifically what should I answer to the following question
What country does your family member (i.e. Me) live in? (India or Canada)?
We have to apply in next two weeks to meet the 30 days before the expiry condition so we would highly appreciate your response
