Work Permit Extension

Hey guys,
Need a little bit of help here. I have a post graduation work permit of one year which is expiring this Dec, mid week. If i apply for work permit extension on no basis, i believe i can stay here in Canada on implied status until they reject my application or decision is made. I am working part time at a Store. Do you think i can still work on my previous condition if i apply for work permit before it expires?

Technically you can. However once your extension is refused, any work you did after the expiry of your PGWP will be classified as work without authorization and won't be eligible to be counted as work experience towards any Canadian immigration program.
