I am working under Health profession occupation (have licensed as a Pharmacist) in Canada. Does this means am I LMIA Exempt ?

According to the link below
cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit.asp
it says professional are covered under international agreement.

So while applying for work permit, Can I choose "I am working under international agreement" option ?

To work in Canada as a professional, you must:

be qualified to work in one of the jobs set out in NAFTA (for example, accountant, computer systems analyst or engineer)

Does Pharmacist (noc 3131) job is covered in above requirement ?

Does a open work permit holder can select option " I am working under an international agreement " ?

Are you from the US? Do you hold an American passport?

I m from India. I have open work permit and I am temporary foreign worker.

But my job falls under Professional.

Can we choose " i am working under an international agreement " while applying for work permit extension.

Sorry to say this but you're not eligible for LMIA-exempt WP based on the information you provided. You can't choose 'working under an international agreement' because no such agreement exists between Canada and India.

But i read alien are covered under NAFTA.

NAFTA covers aliens who are citizens of the USA and Mexico only. So no, you are not here under an international agreement.

For us to guide you, we need more info -

- How did you originally get your open work permit? How much time do you have left?
- How much work experience in Canada do you have?
- In which province are you licensed?

i had three yrs open work permit from 15july 2013 to 15 july 2016.

I am licensed in alberta under NOC 3131.

I have one yerar work experience in canada under NOC 3219. and 4 months under NOC 3131.

I applied for OINP on DEC 7 but stuck because of their slow process.

Have you determined your CRS score under express entry without the PNP offer? I ask because unless you are actively pursuing licensure in Ontario, you are unlikely to obtain the OINP nomination... (perhaps you are...)
