Got my work permit extension approved today!
Applied on September 2nd, with Lmia for Physiotherapist in Alberta

what i can figure out is this..

Canada is gong through economic recession
they are working more on student applications since students brings money from other countries
henceforth we are the ones who`s getting suffered for this economic crisis.

They don't know how long student will stay or leave but we are working and paying taxes so should consider us as prioirty

I applied online 21 Aug, I called them today, he said " CIC starts working on your application on 31 Oct, and they have 120 days to finish it so you will get the decision on the end of Feb or the first week of March"... I really dont understand, so many tricks they could do to give themselves excuses to delay without a dead line.

Thanks for the update but I am wondering how come they are giving diff update on phone and on web they are showing like still working on Aug 2015 applications?? Can any one explain please

I am CEC inland.. I didn't have any updates for almost a month, then they requested another Travel History form filled up because I messed up some dates. After that, got medicals passed the next day and nothing since.. according to the way things are moving for October applicants, I am hoping that my PPR is around the corner.

Just read that there still are July applicants waiting. And of course CIC doesn't give any answers. I applied for a just a 4 months extension, all I needed was to be able to apply for PR after I finish 2 years of my live-in caregiver program. My employer agreed for only 4 months extra. Now if CIC takes forever to review applications, by the time they look at mine - the end date of the extension might have passed already. I mean if I asked to extend till March 31, and they look at it in April - what's then? Denied? Go home, you're disposed? I applied in the beginning of September and could not have thought that something like this could possibly happen, this is beyond imaginable...

Hi All, need an advice... My PGWP expires in May 2016... 4 months from now... I do not wish to go on implied status, hence will apply a BOWP now.... Can I also make another BOWP application just before my PGWP expires? ...That way i can have implied status for atleast 4 months, even if my first BOWP application gets rejected (though there is no reason, I'm cynically just thinking in case)....

Can we apply for 2 BOWP applications? One online and another via Paper?

Additionally, I have also have 2 AORs - one from old CEC and another from EE application...both in process. Should I send both AORs to my BOWP application or only one of them now and another one later in second BOWP application??

my BOWP got approved on 7th jan and received today via mail...
i had applied for me and my wife on 16th sept via paper with AOR and received by cic on 18th of sept,2015.
