Work permit delay in visa processing

Dear All

I had done my biometrics on 9th March 2020 for work permit application outside Canada from India.
I have an approved GTS LMIA but Application shows under processing will there be a delay for visa processing due to Covida-19.
Also due to high unemployment rate in Canada will this effect my visa status .

Of course there will be a delay given IRCC is probably not operating with a full staff level much same as any other employer. Nobody can even hint at what the delay might be so you will just have to be patient. Will it affect your LMIA no way to tell but maybe you should keep contact with your employer to esnure any job offere is still open.

Yes I am in touch with the employer so that should be fine , fingers crossed to have a decision soon during this unprecedented times .

With a positive LMIA I applied for work permit got correspondence letter on April 6th about biometric validity... What can a expect next ...thanks

Anyone have any updates from CIC/VFS on ICT Work permit those who applied in the 1/2nd week of March?
 
They seem to have limited staff and few offices closed. And takes more time to process, the processing times on the website are not accurate as per them
 
Did anyone submitted their WP application from India online?
