Hello,

My work permit based on my spouse's study permit and now, I have also one year of full time work experience in Canada as a software engineer in NOC 2174. I also met other requirements like Educational credential verification and IELTS English proficiency. So, my questions are:

1) As my work experience is based upon my work permit which I got because of my spouse's study permit, will they consider it so, can I qualify to apply under the CEC category?
2) Does Educational Credential Assessment is required in my case as I am not applying based on PGWP?
3) Further, I have heard that many people got rejected for not proving their marriage relationship, we have our marriage certificate, do we need to give them any other proof to prove our marriage other than our marriage certificate?

Please help,
Thank you very much for your help.

1. yes
2. no
3. marriage certificate is enough (it was enough to get you a work permit, right?)

Correct. You may submit other documents proving your marriage/relationship like joint bank accounts,
or utility bills with the same address, if that would make you feel better :)

I thought workers that did not study in canada needs 2 years of work experience instead of 1 for graduates

This requirement changed long time ago ( 2013 January )

Second that. New requirement is 12 months of full-time skilled employment for everyone. There's no graduate stream anymore.
