Hello,
I posted here before. I hold a valid post graduate work permit and my husband was refused two times when we applied for an extension. We already applied for the Express Entry and are just waiting for the results, however, now my husband has no status in Canada.
Our Immigration consultant said he should leave Canada and when he comes back, he can ask for a work permit at the border since we have a provincial nomination letter and have already submitted our application for EE. She said they are likely to give it to him at the border.
Has anyone heard about this? Is this real? It just seems too easy to be true. Why would they make you leave the country and come back to give you a new work permit, just like that?
She said we would obviously have to take all the documentation that she would give us, but I don't want to take any more chances. Not sure if we should go that way.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks!
