Sorry for the confusion.

My request of passport letter was sent on 11th Feb & I was still in dark (the lawyer didn't inform my potential employer or myself). Just received the copy letter from NYC consulate. I'll be sending my passport tomorrow morning.

I was looking in to this forum and found valuable information so far. Here is my work permit application dates.

Applied Work Permit Paper Application (with LMO): Feb 23 2014

Passport has been submitted for me and my spouse at NY Consulate.

Now, I am waiting for the result. How much time should it take to get the result.

Hi Guys,

I wanted to share with you that i have received the email stating that my work permit has been approved. It took almost 4 weeks in my case.

Now, i am waiting for the passport.

I am still waiting for my passport to arrive. As per my immigration team, they say off lately Consulate is taking around 14 days to sent passports back.
I had sent mine on 14 Feb(to my immigration team) and it was sent to Consulate on same day i guess(or latest by 17)...... and I am still waiting for the passport.

Did anyone else hear back anything for their passports??

Yes.. I have applied on Jan23 and it was a paper application with approved LMO. I have also performed the upfront medical test to avoid any delays. My company attorney told me that the paper application with original passport ususally take 4 weeks at NY consulate. This condition is only applicable if you have approved LMO.

And yes, her statement was correct. I got it just in 4- weeks.

Good to know the good news for you. Congrats! Now, people applied after me got their approval with LMO already. I wonder why cant I see any changes in my online account. Tense :-X I applied on Jan 16.

Good to know the good news for you. Congrats! Now, people applied after me got their approval with LMO already. I wonder why cant I see any changes in my online account. Tense :-X I applied on Jan 16.

NYC consulate replied that due to system glitch, the passport requisition letter wasn't delivered to MYCIC account online nor any email to my attorney's email id.

Please beware!!!!!!! Anything is possible with these people.
