Work Permit Applications at NYC for 2013

NYC consulate replied that due to system glitch, the passport requisition letter wasn't delivered to MYCIC account online nor any email to my attorney's email id.

Please beware!!!!!!! Anything is possible with these people.

SO what should i do? and how did you find out? Thanks!

That is the reply they sent me today. Most you can check your account twice in the day.

Thanks. I was closely following the number of days. Most I thought after yours got approved, it would take max 7 days for mine. But due to this "system glitch" the passport requisition letter was never delivered. And this was my 3rd email to NYC consulate that they replied. 1st one was on 14th, 2nd on 20th (no reply to both) & 3rd one was sent on 25th, with 'WP application still pending after 4 months' in subject line.

And just few hours back I got a mail from my attorney that my passport is received after stamping and is on the way for my place

Details:
Had sent passport on 14 Feb
got it back after stamping today 26 feb.

Hope others get it soon too.

I wasn't asked for the medical exam. I'm sure it is required for people who have been out of US in last 6 months or a year (not sure about the timing). I was in US & didn't go to India, almost 2 years now.

My passport was requested on 12 Feb. I sent the passport same day. received by embassy on 13th Feb.
I got my passport (with visa) back from embassy on 21st Feb.
My wife passport request was on 20th Feb. Sent passport same day. Received by embassy 21st Feb.
Her passport sent back by the embassy today (I tracked it). We will receive it on 27th Feb 2014.

Hello Everyone,

The magic just happened. I arrived in office and opened my CIC account and the request for PP was there. This forum is the best. Thanks everyone. About two months ago, I was nervous because the processing time was very long and my I-94 expires in april. I am surprised totally. Will send passport soon.
