Work Permit Application Through Sponsorship Permanent Resident Application

I am a US Citizen who moved here to Toronto on March 19, 2018. My wife has Permanent Resident card and she applied for me for sponsorship application.

Sponsorship Application Package included:
- PR Application
- Open Work Permit Application
- All Required Documents and Copies
- Fees Required
- Photographs
- Police Certificate


--- Application received by IRCC on May,2nd, 2018.

- On June 26th I received a letter from IRCC that the Open Work Permit Fees was not enough and attached the Work Permit Application with the letter.

- I Sent back the Work Permit Application and the Fees and was received back by the IRCC on June 28th.


-- Yesterday, I received a letter to do the medical test for the Permanent Resident Application
-- So far, No information regarding the Work Permit Application.

I am trying to call IRCC every day and they say, that they are receiving a high number of calls and they end my call.


-- Does anyone can suggest or know how long further processing for both applications or When I should receive at least the Work Permit?

You should receive the work permit four months after you submit a complete application - although sometimes we see faster processing. So you should have it by the end of October since the complete application was received June 28th.
