In Canada
hi timeout!
im also an EP holder in SG, which country are you from?
i just submitted our TWP/OWP/TRV application last week and according to my courier they have delivered.
but i have yet to receive a confirmation email from SG Canadian Embassy.
your processing is taking time, may be because you have an immigration lawyer.

I am sorry, am not a pinoy. :(

Guess, Singy CIC does not confirm receipt of documents. I heard they return the application if its incomplete. There's no way to check other than keeping track of your bank DD/CO clearance. POSB / DBS took two days to confirm status of my DD clearance, once i called them to check clearance status.

I indicated my timelines just to let others feel better, in case they are thinking that their visa processing is taking more time.

I dont know the reason, why its taking such a long time - but i surely believe its because they have lot of other applications to clear and they need their time to evaluate in detail.

One of my friends, applied on 18th May 2012 and flew to Canada on 23rd July 2012. He had 10+ years additional working experience and was a Singapore PR. He too had a company hired immigration lawyer and was same nationality as I am. I dont think the lawyer makes much of a difference - just the individual profile that CIC officer has to review to approve visa.

I believe in my case - they need more time to review and hence the delay. Cheers.

My timelines for everyone's benefit:

12 July, 2012: Applied for Temporary work permit (Intra-Company transfer)
02 Aug, 2012: Received an email from CIC that my application has been processed and that I need to submit my passport

Things to note: Lived in US for about 3 years and been living in Singapore for 2.5 years and they didn't ask for any police clearance.

Best of luck to all!
