Just registered! A Newbie..

I submitted my Application to Abu Dhabi for Work Permit under NOC 2173

Here is my timeline:
10 Sep 2013 - submitted WP application with Valid Job offer, LMO,passport and all required documents at the Abu Dhabi Embassy via Aramex

After writing lot of emails on nov 25 received automated response from embassy

Two year back I went to Canada on same NOC 2173 and my visa was processed very fast but due to some unavoidable circumstances I return after 2 months


do you think that will cause a delay?

According to cic website, the average processing time based on a complete package is 7 months (Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi).
It may be due to the increase number of applicants year by year and processing becomes stricter with the added requirements/

As long as you already submitted your application before the expiration of your LMO, it won't affect your application. And if you applied thru VFS, in your receipt there is a tracking number there which you can check from there website.

Hi guys. just a heads up! be ready for a surprise on the spot interview. I went to embassy yesterday for visa stamping. Everyone got an email passport request and we all were expecting that only stamping will be done. However the guy sitting next to me was advised to wait (no explanation) and he was called to a room. An interview was conducted. It lasted for about 20-30 minutes. When he finished I immediately asked him if he had received an interview notice. He said no. according to him in the email was clearly mentioned that his visa got approved and he has to submit his passport for visa stamping. He was also surprised but managed to pull himself together, kept his composure and answer all the questions. His interview goes smoothly and got his visa stamped on his passport. (personal,
LMO and contract details was asked according to him). so just be ready.

I have heard about this random surprise on the spot interview before, but i didn't believed it. Indeed it is true.

iam july applicant .. and no update just right now .. really i feel toooooo muchhhhhh not good .. waiting is tooooo much .. i feel i began to loose hope .. 5 months passed and still waiting for maybe positive or negative result .. really torture .. the future looks really dark in front of me .. Most of my friends are in Canada and they started their life and iam setting here in UAE counting my days to leave this country .. what a patience really fed up feduppppp .. please my god find a way to me and to all of waiting applicants .. :-[
