Hi Everyone!

I am a temporary worker with a one year contract and have just been extended until December 2013. Both my work permit and TRV expires on March 31, and I am in the process of renewing my work permit. (application time now is 78 days). Shall I need to apply for a separate TRV or will CIC give me a new TRV when they extend my work permit? The CIC website states that we do not need to apply for them separately. But I was never asked if I needed a new visa when I was filling up the extension forms for the work permit. Does anybody have any experience with this? Please help.

1. No, you have to apply separately for a TRV to CPP-Ott. Your TWP application goes to Vegreville. You were reading the instructions for applying outside Canada. You can't apply for the TRV until you have your new work permit.

for ur information, if u r travelling to the to USA, u dont require a TRV for reentry, all u need is a valid work permit !
