Hello guys,

I have a question regarding work permit and study permit. I got my post-graduation work permit which allow me to stay in Canada for three years one year ago, right now I go back to school with my renewed study permit, could someone please tell me whether I can apply for holding my work permit that I can use it after I graduate again?

Thank you very much!

I got enrolled in Masters Program, I am wondering whether I can apply for reservation of my PGWP, after I graduate, I can still have two or three years to work in Canada legally.

No - you can reserve or hold your PGWP. You either use it now - or it's gone. And since the PGWP is a one-time deal only, you won't be able to apply for another one after you finish your Masters.

Why dont u just use your PGWP now, earn some money, do some savings, apply for PR. When your PGWP reaches near expiration, then apply for masters and get visa extension. In the meantime, you might also get PR which means that your fee for masters would be drastically reduced, so its double savings. Alternatively if u have already made up your mind to study, its fine too as you may use the masters PNP program for pr which requires no job offer. If ur family is financially sound, u may opt for whatever u wish. If otherwise, opportunities dont knock every other day. 3 yrs pgwp is what 90% international students dream of even before landing. lol

you can always study later after you get PR.

use your PGWP now man.
