Hello everyone.
we are a small family of 3 me my wife and daughter we got a visa for 3 years in Montreal and lived there for almost 1 year and we didn't work at that time
after that year we left Canada for a another year and now we want to come back and still have a visa for 1 year but the problem is that we don't have an employer or a job and we don't want to leave Canada again after that year so my question is how can we extend that visa for more years and start our way to PR because right now we are out side of Canada what will you suggest us to do ?

So do you have valid open work permits or not? If you have valid TRVs, you can all come to Canada and find work.

Think you may have meant OWP not TRV. In most cases wouldn’t be possible to visit Canada and secure WPs for some/all of the family from inside Canada.

A TRv doesn’t guaranteed entry into Canada especially for a certain period of time. Given that last time you visited for a full year assume you all applied to extend your stay since visit length (other than on a supervisa) is for up to 6 months. If you visited Cand legally for a year 1-2 years ago expect a lot more questioning about your intentions in Canada and the funds to support your visit, your ties to your home country and proof you will return home, etc. What once was possible is no longer possible like applying for a WP while already in Canada. It is much harder to secure a WP these days and much harder to secure PR unless you have certain skills like being fluent in French. Finding an employer willing to apply or who already has an approved LMIA and applying for a WP could easily take over a year. You should be working with a good immigration consultant or immigration lawyer about your potential options and whether securing PR is realistic. Whether your family can join you in Canada if you secure a job and a WP would also depend on the type of job you can secure or if you both secure work permits and jobs. Securing PR with only 1 year of Canadian work experience and no Canadian education is very hard these days except in rare situations. You must do a lot more planning and research before coming to Canada if your goal is to try to attempt to secure PR.

yes we can enter but I'm looking to extend that open work permit and I'm afraid that after that year Canada will throw us away so my question is how to extend that OWP ?
You cannot extend an open work permit unless eligible. Usually you need a LMIA to apply for a closed work permit to extend a work permit.

Most OWP cannot be extended. You need to tell us how you got your current OWP so we have the information to tell you if that has any policy to extend it.

Assume you either got the OWP through H&C or H1B. Qualifying for PR is unrealistic for most if you only have 1 year of work experience or realistically less than 1 year if you only have one year left on your OWP and no French language skills. Given the current job market securing any employment may be difficult for you and your spouse. You need to do significantly more research about pathways to PR although the pathways may have changed by the time you are applying. There are huge volumes of people trying to secure PR with a small number of spots and many will have both Canadian education and work experience. Your family needs to be prepared to return to your home country if you can’t secure another WP or have an accepted PR application that is already being processed which can secure a WP in some cases.
