Hi Guys!

I have worked from 07/2012 to 11/2015 as a secretary. However, I was on a work license for 5 months and 1 month vacation in order to study English abroad. Does anyone know if it is a problem? The letter that I received from the company states that I have worked at the company from 07/2012 to 11/2015.

Not sure what you mean by work license for 5 months but vacation time is considered part of work so one month vacation should not be an issue.

If your company is providing you the letter that you were employed during the period then I don’t think you need to declare anything additional or should have any issue...

Hi there. I meant I was still employed,but the company allowed me to come to Canada to study English for 5 months after that I returned to my job . Thank you!

My concern is when I am writing my Personal history ,I will mention that I worked from 07/2012 to 03/2015 then I was on vacation from 04/2015 to 09/2015 and returned to work from 09/2015 to 11/2015 . All this period that I was studying I was still employed, so the letter that I have from my previous company stated that I worked from 16/07/2012 to 19/11/2015.

Just explain it in LOE that this 5 month period was study leave but you were still employed by the company. It should be okay.

When your letter confirms you were working between 07/2012 to 11/2015, why do you need to show and highlight a break even in the personal history...
