Hi

I had applied for Federal Skill Worker in 2014 under Securities NOC 1113 , rejection reason wanted job description, i applied for second time they returned my file stated to apply under express entry. Created affidavit for my job duties. I am on Post Graduate permit. My Question is my foreign work experience was in Foreign Exchange & currently working as restuarant manager will they count my foreign experience under CEC.

Thanks

CEC doesn't count foreign experience. You will have to wait once you get the invitation from EE to decide which stream you are going to apply, the invitation will state all details.

Good luck.

Hi Sundip,

Under express entry, there are points for Foreign work experience & Canadian work experience under skills transferability (100 points) linked to IELTS score. How do i count my score.

Thanks

- It is not a problem that your foreign work experience is in a different NOC than your Canadian work experience.
- You need to document work experience for which you receive points. An affidavit of job duties is not accepted. You need someone else to attest to the duties/responsibilities, e.g. Letter of employment from employer. If you absolutely cannot get that, you need to (1) write a letter of explanation with proof that you cannot get it, and (2) provide alternative documentation (e.g. letter from colleague or client, wage/tax statements, etc.)

Once you complete your EE profile, you will receive few notifications from the system and with points you have by category. You can create more than one EE profiles so no harm in trying to see how the points are being calculated!
