Hi everyone,

I'm applying for CEC next month. I've calculated that I've worked 102 weeks at 37.5 hours in various jobs over the last 2 1/2 years. I know I need 104 Weeks / 3900 hours, but how is this calculated? I didn't work during statutary holidays and I have had some paid and none paid vacation. I'm just wondering if any of this affects my application.

My current VISA runs out in July 2013, so I want to apply for perm residency as soon as possible.

Thanks for any help.

One way that it can be counted is by the date you started working, the numbers of hours you've worked and your salary that are written on your reference letters from your employees. T4s, NOAs, and Paystubs are also used to help confirming the facts on your letter

For each position, it is calculated based on the start and end date of the job (to determine # of weeks worked) * hours worked per week. It's fairly straight-forward if you worked full-time (at least 37.5 hours per week).

If you worked part-time, then it's more complicated. If your hours varied each week, then it's even more complicated - not difficult, just more record-keeping.

Paid vacation/holidays are "employment." (Unpaid are not).
