Hi,

I need to submit my application uder the CEC which opened up on 17th September. I have been in Canada since 2006 on a transfer from my Indian company. I am holding a Work Permit since 2006 and is valid till 2009.

I have my most recent engagement letter which mentions the date of the last contract renewal from 2008 June to July 2009. Would this letter be sufficient enough to apply under this category. I have my Work Permit copies from 2006 as evidence of my working in Canada since that date

Pls advise

If you have been working a full time job for at least 2 years on a skilll level 0, A or B work permit, you can apply. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/index.asp for more info.

Thanks Leon for the prompt response.

I have all my work permits from 2006 which mention my company's name under which the work permit is issued as well as the occupation category on the work permit itself. Does this suffice as proof for the two years of claimed experience as well as NOC category?

What I cannot figure out is how CIC determines NOC category

The NOC category has already been determined on your work permit. It has your job title on it and you should be able to find this job title in the NOC. I think you have enough data to prove 2 years. I don't think you will have a problem.
