Hi everyone,

I am applying for the skilled worker program (express entry) and I am a bit confused about the work experience evaluation process.
I studied my master's (full-time master program - evening classes) while I was working full-time as a software engineer (it is all after my bachelor's degree graduation). If I get my mater's assessed and submit my application with master's, would the work experience be considered only after graduation from master's, or the work during and before the graduation is also considered (will I get points for them)?

Best Regards

Work experience before your Master's does count, as long as it was not in Canada.

Re: Work experience while studying - evaluation

Hi istari,

Thanks for you reply. How about the work experience during the master's. Is it accepted as full-time job (It was 40h/week)?

Many thanks

If it was outside of Canada, yes, it will be accepted.

What if the work experience was not from home country and not allowed 30hrs/week but still worked. If I back this up with reference letter would it be suspicious or a problem?
