I have been researching the work experience requirement (Alberta Opportunity Stream – Eligibility) for the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and have a specific question regarding my situation. I would greatly appreciate your insights and guidance.
I have worked as a software engineer (NOC 21231) from March 2019 to March 2022. Subsequently, I transitioned to the role of computer and information systems manager (NOC 20012) starting in March 2022 until the present. I am currently considering applying for the Alberta PNP and want to ensure that I meet the work experience requirement.
According to the official Alberta PNP guidelines, the requirement states, "a minimum of 24 months of full-time work experience in your current occupation in Canada or abroad within the last 30 months or both – this work experience can be a combination of experience gained in Alberta, in Canada (outside Alberta), or abroad."
My question is, based on this situation, would my combined work experience as a software engineer (NOC 21231) and computer and information systems manager (NOC 20012) meet the 24-month requirement?
