Hello everyone!

I have a question about the reference letter that one should have from their previous jobs in the past 10 years. I have some friends who have migrated to Canada from Iran and they said that in addition to this letter they needed to get a query from their "insurance office" to prove that they have "REALLY" worked. Apparently the report contains those months when they have paid tax and therefore they were employed.

I am applying from Sweden and now wondering if I need to provide CIC a similar thing in addition to my reference letter. Have you guys ever got them anything extra?

Thanks in advance.

You have to provide a letter from insurance company which seals all of your work experiences.
the letter should be translated and it would be more safe if you can notarize it.
all the best ;)

Hey guys, this is NOT mandatory. No need to send documents that are not in the checklist:

The only case when I would recommend sending these additional papers is when your employer refuses to indicate your total annual income in the letter of reference.

You are correct, but sometimes it will be needed in next steps for some countries!
