Work Experience not continuous

Hi forum,

My work experience is divided in two parts:
Test Engineer: June2012-oct2014 (2yrs 3 month)
<break for 2 yrs>
Data Scientist: June2017-present (2 years 1 month)

Should I specify 4 yrs or 2yrs in my application?

Your total work experience of course (4 years and 4 months).

Of course above is the generic answer.

For example in my situation I completely ignored a work experience I had because it did not match the NOC I was applying under and I did not want the hassle of obtaining employment documents from that employer.

Just provide records and documentation for experience you want to claim points for.
