I have 2.5 years of work experience letters from my employers which state salary, job description and title.

Now for the 6 months of work experience which was gained 3 years back; my employer is not willing to write my salary on the reference letter and even my Job description. He is showing me as freelancer and signing the letter.

What do I do in this case?

Omarsarfraz,

I believe salary is the most least important info that CIC would be interested in. Ensure that all the roles and responsibilities are listed out and ensure they are in sync with the NOC which you are applying. That's the most important thing. It's preferable to have the hours/ week listed out to prove that you have worked full time.

Sure this Information I can get or can I declare self-employed with this company as it is a Consulting company and I was Financial Analyst there for 6 months.

Company issued letter will hold more weight-age than self-declared or colleague attested letters. Try to get the roles and responsibilities listed out and have it issued by your employer.

I got the letter issued and signed; however this employer is from 2011 so he is not giving me salary slips. There is also no mention of salary on the letter. The employer does not have a record from 2011 mentioning the salaries etc. In case, CIC calls the employer, what will happen?

Thanks!

CIC may nit call for your employer. The onus is on you to show all the necessary information in your application.

Job duties are the most important info. Do you have tax slip from the government showing that your employer paid you? You need to show that your work was not voluntary eork.
