I just received my ITA for express entry under the federal skills workers program. I have a Masters degree in mechanical engineering for which I am claiming points. But I have foreign work experience in Electrical engineering, for which I also claimed points for. So, when I get work reference letter from my employer, is it ok to list my work experience in a different field than what I studied for?

You might have got the answer for your question. this post is for many others.

Education is in line with Work Experience or not in line doesn't really matter for Express Entry Scheme. Just make sure you get your reference letter perfect as per the guidelines of CIC.
.

Read minimum work experience requirements (Note).
THE APPLICANT DOES NOT NEED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY MEET THE EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS LISTED IN THE NOC OCCUPATIONAL DESCRIPTION
