Hi everyone,

I have a valid work permit.I started my work from feb 2020 and I went to USA for four months(Stuck in US due to covid) and returned to Canada. So, I have 4 months of experience working outside of Canada, however I am working for a Canadian company and have my payroll and taxes paid in Canada. My doubt is that whether these 4 MONTHS of experience will be counted for my PR under CEC or not...if not what is the best solution for my situation?. Can anyone help me to clarify my question?

These four months will be counted as foreign work experience. So not eligible to be counted towards the 1 year of Canadian work experience required for CEC.

Thank you Scylla for the reply. But i was working for Canadian company(doing WFH) in USA as i went to my sisters place and also my payroll is generated in Canada

Yes - I understand that. Unfortunately this is still classified as foreign work experience since you weren't physically in Canada at the time.
