What you call "CERTIFIED" is different for different countries. IRCC does not care whether you are certified or not and neither do they check your certification, which you will eventually need to re-do when you land in Canada as per Canada's standards. They are only concerned with whether you have the work experience for which you are claiming points and whether that work experience meets the NOC.

I was the one who found the NOC1311 code instead of the noc1111. The question was whether she should get her degree assessed. Was pointing out that it may not be assessed as an equivalent accounting degree because she hasn't completed all the requirements. It would be best to complete the whole certification to qualify as a licensed accountant to have better opportunities in Canada and get a better ECA assessment.
 
I have done my research properly and than i am stating all these facts. Please lookup in NOC database for 1111 & the employent requirements section. To become a certified general accountant, the applicant will need a university degree and professional training. However, no need for a professional degree to become just an Accountant, only university degree which means a bachelor atlist.

1year fulltime continous requirement is the 1st step to qualify.
 
@legalfalcon Just for my own understanding, if I have an engineering degree and if I can prove that I have 1 year fulltime continuous Accountant job, will I be able to qualify under NOC1111 as an Accountant?

@Suhaira You should have mentioned before that doing 9 papers from ACCA makes you eligible to perform an Accountant job duties. In general, a diploma doesn't allow anyone to perform Accountant job duties. If your diploma certifies you to perform duties of an Accountant, you can apply under NOC1111 Accountant. I suggest you to double check with the ACCA bodies on this.

Absolutely. Although, the example you take is not very apt. there are many engineers, who do civil engineering and work as computer programmers. Similarly, as person with a degree in law can work as a chef, without any training. In Canada a person may need a certification and a license to become a technician, but not in other countries.

I think the words accountant, licensed or chartered accountant and book keeper are being used as interchangeable. If you worked before completing your exams you would still have to apply under noc1311. It seems like noc1111 is for more senior/experienced roles. It mentions several years of work.

I understand your facts. But, what is making me confused is that how can a person perform the job duites of an Accountant after completing a diploma. I did Diploma of Accounting and wasn't qualified to work as an Accountant, neither in Bangladesh or Australia. I was qualified for accounting bookkeeper and worked from 2011-2016 in Australia. After I have completed a bachelor degree, I started as an Accountant.

I agree with @canuck78 100%. She is eligible for NOC 1311, not NOC1111. NOC1111 are for seniors/experienced with university degrees, not for certificates or diplomas. The CO allocated to each applicants are based on their selected NOC who have the deepest knowledge on this NOC. When they see that someone with just a diploma showed Accountant experience, will definitely reject the application.

@md_uddin you are not getting the point here. IRCC when evaluating applications does not care whether the candidate meets the NOC job requirements, but only ensures that the candidate meet the job duties. This is because most, if not all, candidates will meat those requirements or being qualified in the respective field. Further, IRCC cannot go into seeking the specific requirements of each country. IRCC's immigration system is a point based system, you get points for education, work experience and so on. As long as the education is accessed by a accredited agency a candidate can claim points. Similarly, a candidate will claim points of the work experience his his job duties match that of the NOC selected.

Now whether that candidate is misrepresenting and is to a qualified professional as he is claiming is a different point. If a candidate misrepresents, or submits a fraudulent document, then the candidate will be deemed inadmissible.

Some NOCs overlap, like a lawyer, paralegal, notary. Similarly, Nurse, physician, specialist physician etc.

If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

- what does this requirement mean exactly, "your work experience must be in the same type of job as your primary NOC"?

- Can I obtain my 1 year of work experience in more than one company?

You can declare 'n' number of NOC's where you worked at, provided ,you have 1 year of minimum experience in the said NOC.

Here again to disturb you for a minute Please help me. today i came to know that My company where i worked was not registered at the time when i started working that is 3rd of October 2016. It got registered on 1st April 2017. My question is if i show my work exp from 3rd oct 2016 onwards, will IRCC check that when actually company got incorporated ??
Is it safe to show experience from october 2016 onwards provided that i have all payslips and experience letter on company letter head??
Please help me i am too much confused at this moment.

i did bachelors in applied accounting in 2011 (Oxford Brookes) and started full time work in 2012. I became acca affiliate in 2013 and acca member in 2015. Will I be able to claim points for this work experience that I did before completing my acca. My NOC is 1111
