Diploma awarded to me was pathway to my ACCA qualification. My ACCA body award such diplomas when we complete 9 papers out of 14 papers of ACCA. So it is awarded after part qualification of degree.

Are you sure your experience might be more like NOC1311 if it was completed before you finished your studies?

@md_uddin and @canuck78

Oh yes now i got your point. yes my degree required 3 year of work experience in order to fully qualify for degree. so yes it is necessary. but it does not necessary means that we need to complete work exp during study but it is up to us we can do anytime we want. My degree is Association of chartered certified account

ACCA is equivalent to a bachelor degree. Any related work experience or placement required to finish your ACCA, is not countable as valid work experience. Because this experience are part of your degree requirement. To be an ACCOUNTANT, you have to finish the degree 1st and then you start working as an accountant.

I think you have to already been a certified praticing accountant before using the NOC1111 code. I think the best way to explain your situation is that you have done a bachelors degree and then you are going through professional exams to become a certified ACCA accountant. Am I right? I looked at the website briefly and you must still complete the 3 year work period (and maybe the rest of the exams) to become a certified accountant.

Not exactly. ACCA itself is equivalent to a bachelor degree. With ACCA qualification, anyone can be an Accountant, But not a general certified accountant or other certified professional because it requires professional training. In her case, if had already done ACCA and then started the job, the experience was valid, but it is the opposite over here.

So would she qualify for noc1111? Still not clear whether the 1 year work was done before or after exams?

Would be much better to get your full accreditation before moving.

Oh i have explained that 1 year exprnc was during my study. i worked after passing 9 exams but in fact there are 14 exams that i kept passing during my job. hope i explained

She had her experience before completing ACCA qualification. So she wont be qualified for NOC 1111. If she can prove her job duties also matches to NOC 1311 Accounting technicians and bookkeeper, she can apply with this noc as she have a diploma after passing 9 units.

@md_uddin

Yes i also worked in bookkeeping department. If i choose NOC1311 , how much should i score in order to get ITA ?
please explain thanks

Ok that's what I thought. NOC1311 is more applicable. I'm still not an expert on the ACCA process but if is part of the course it won't qualify as 1 year experience as you previously said. If it is like NA and you must work while completing your professional exams after your bachelors degree it would count.

You will score the same points as NOC 1111. NOC 1111 is skill A and NOC1311 is skill B. Your experience has to be continuous full time with at least 30hrs per week.

Ok so can i choose NOC1311 on the basis of diploma @md_uddin ?? would it work ?
and for experience verification , except of employment ref letter what else i need to show? My employer paid me cash salary but from last three months they are paying me through bank transfer. So how can i prove apart from last 3 months ?

In order to clear the work experience part, the applicant has to be employed minimum 1 year but
Is she paid and worked as a full time permanent employer? and have a substantial evidence to legitimate her employment with pay stubs and other official documents?
Can she garner the experience letter from the said employer? As stated from CIC, if the applicant comes under unpaid internship then it is ineligib

Skilled work experience
Your work experience must be:

  • in the same type of job as your primary NOC
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed.

If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

Dear @legalfalcon

Please spend some time to explain your point. I worked as an accountant from May 2016 to June 2017. And completed my qualification in July 2017 for which WES gave me bachelor equivalence .. So question is that Will CIC accept my experience before completion of my WES evaluated degree? or is it necessary to show experience only after any ECA degree/diploma ?

Hope i asked in detail this time.

Thanks

@Suhaira When you select the NOC for express entry, the qualification mentioned in the NOC are not relevant, unless you have that work experience in Canada as qualification of the same job will differ from country to country. However, the job duties in the work reference letter and that in the NOC should substantially match.
