Withdrawal of Application - PCC (BLS)

I would like to withdraw the application for my PCC that I applied a month ago. Which process would be faster? Walk-in and apply by hand or send an email with all supporting documents to toronto@blsindia-canada.com ?

I would need my Passport by Wed. BTW I hope Toronto office is working tomorrow05-Aug)

Walked in to BLS centre today to withdraw my application. The officer there told me that there is something like temporary withdrawal, the PCC would still be in process but we can get the passport for 2-3 weeks. After 2-3 weeks I have to give back the passport to BLS for my PCC. If I fail, they would then cancel my application.

Yes, we have an option of temporary withdrawal without impacting PCC process but I am unsure how long we can keep passport with us.. Earlier I have also heard from my friends those applied for India PCC withdrawn temporarily for their IELTS exam.

Can you (or anyone else) please elaborate on this "temporary withdrawal" process? Would I have to go in-person to BLS (Toronto), and request that they temporarily withdraw my application, considering my international flight on July 7?

If this is the case, I plan on going to BLS tomorrow morning itself, and applying for PCC, and then temporarily withdraw my application on July 3 to get my passport back in time for my trip (which lasts 2 weeks). Please confirm.

As per my understanding you need to give 48 hrs notice to BLS for temporary withdrawal. When you walk-in tomorrow for applying India PCC you can ask the same officer about process of temporary withdrawal. They will explain you with details. Incase if they say it not possible for longer days, you still have a option to not apply PCC until you completes your vacation.

Earlier we all used to submit and collect passports at office but recently they started Fedex courier process with charging extra +20CAD. They might having commission with Fedex that's why they tied with them from last month. Usually for normal procedure when you submitted your PCC application, by default you have to pay courier charges but it's up to you how to collect your passport. Generally they said, send it through Fedex but it takes 1 to 3 days to reach your home. However, you can also called them and collect your passport during pick-up hours at office based on your urgency, once online tracking status saying "in transit back to BLS".
For temporary withdrawal as fas I remember from my friend they collect from BLS only that's why you are giving 48 hrs notice to get back your passport from consulate

I went to BLS today, and they told me it's "risky" for temporary withdrawal, as once I re-submit my passport, it might be difficult for the guys at CGI to re-start the PCC process. Essentially, the guy at the counter told me that "who knows, they might end up losing the application, and it might cost you a few weeks in additional time." I got worried, so I decided not to apply for PCC today. Will do so after my trip...have to cross my fingers that it will get done quickly then, somehow.

Very frustrated with this process.

If you are leaving for India on July 7th my advice to you is get your PCC done either through passport office OR Commissioner of Police office in your city.

I withdrew my application from BLS after 6-7 weeks and I applied for PCC from India (Hyd) while I was there. I went to Commissioner office and it took about 10 days for me to get it.

Hello guys

One of my frnds got his visa approved to study in Canada

The prob he is currently facing is that he applied for PCC which is not required in his case .

He worked in chennai for few months and currently he is staying in Hyderabad where he applied his PCC from.

Now when the police came to his house for verification he mentioned about working in chennai, they noted the same and went away. And now his status shows incomplete and he has to pay extra 5000 so that they can do verification in chennai too WHR he is no longer staying

So now he want to cancel his PCC application. Will that reflect anything bad on his profile. Will the be any problem while going to Canada at emigration check at the airport


Experts who got any idea about this kind of situation. Plzz help my frnd is worried a lot about this
