Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone here has their PR application being processed by the Winnipeg IRCC office (PVO) — especially for PNP non-Express Entry.

If you’re comfortable sharing, could you please drop a comment with:
  • Your AOR date
  • What stage your app is at (like eligibility, background, security, etc.)
  • Any updates you’ve received recently
Trying to figure out what dates they’re working on now. Feels like Winnipeg is way slower than other offices

Thanks a lot in advance — would really appreciate any info!

Dec 9 -AOR, BIL
Dec 11 - Biometrics done, Bio completed on tracker, medical completed on tracker
Dec 12 - PAL
*On Gckey - medical became blank; BC not applicable

No movement after:(

Based on my previous calls, eligibility passed already; Pending: BC- criminality-in progress; security-not started

My primary office is Winnipeg, I'm stuck at Security check since Nov 28, 2023 ( comprehensive background check )

The funniest part is, I didn’t even serve in the regular army — I completed civilian service, helping people through a dystrophic association. And now, thanks to some ‘brilliant’ person, they’ve been reviewing it for almost twenty months. Im so annoyed by this .

Oh that is sucks. I am sorry to hear it. So it is better to submit everything by yourself. Are you inland or Outland?
 
I'm inland applicant, and don't ask me how long I did wait for Provincial Nomination, my journey for PR is 3 years and 4 months.

Is there anyone here whose PR application (especially PNP non-Express Entry) was sent for Comprehensive Security Screening by the Winnipeg office?

I’m curious to know:
• Does Winnipeg usually trigger comprehensive screening after a long wait (like 12+ months)?
• Or do they send it for SS earlier if there are specific triggers (e.g. military or police background, CR, visa refusals, based on country of residence, work in government, engineering experience or education etc.)?

Any timeline insights would be appreciated!

Definitely it is worst office i have ever seen. Am july 2 2024 yet no shit. Been 8 months comms down

Quotas for PNP and PR in general were cut which creates backlogs increasing processing times dental. On a positive note you are still lucky if your application is being processed. Many don’t have a pathway to PR and would trade places with you.

Just wanna know how much time security will take place if i have extensive short travel history
Even though it hasnt started yet
