Will renewing my passport invalidate my 12 month work visa?

Hi there I'm a New Zealand citizen who has just started a 12 month work visa in Canada. I'd like to renew my passport while in Canada, as it will expire at the beginning of next year, etc.
My question is, will renewing and having a new passport sent to me invalidate my current work visa, which I attained with my current passport?

I can't finds the relevant info on the immigration website, a dr he call centre just claims to be busy and drops me....

No, just keep the old expired passport as well.
