Will my visa duration change if I reduce my program length?

Hi, I am going to change my program to 2 years from 3 years. I want to know will this have any effect on the duration of my visa? Now my visa is till July 2017 and my program finishes in April 2017. If I change my program to 2 years my program will end in April 2016.

Yes, you need to notify CIC after you cease studies (I think 60 or 90 days after?).

Your SP will automatically expire after 90 days of passing the course, it doesn't matter if its 2 or 3 years.
