So i am in the process of applying for the IEC program with my wife.

I got my police check back with 'No Live Trace'. The offence was 'Being Carried in a Vehicle Taken Without Consent' it was 12 years ago, i was 16 at the time. I received a reprimand for it. In the application i declared this as i had my police certificate already. Upon further research and talking with others, i am afraid i misrepresented the situation as this was the only conviction i had i thought it was the only relevant conviction, however the question actually asks about arrests also.

So now i am fearful i will be rejected for Misrepresentation, so i have written a web form to the CIC explaining the reasoning, and providing as much information as i can remember about arrests. I hope it's not too late and they are understanding. I know when i was a teenager i was arrested a couple of times but never charged with any crime, i can't remember how many arrests or the specific charges, i have had a crack at declaring them but they were that long ago i can't remember exact details.

I have now applied for an SAR to get further details but i'm honestly sick with worry that i messed it all up and i'll be rejected for an honest oversight. The arrests i can remember off the top of my head were:

1. Possession of Cannabis - No further Action
2. Possesion with intent to Supply - No further action (might be 2 of these)
3. Breach of peace - No further Action
4. Use of alarming language or something of that nature - Fine

Based on this could anyone give me some insight on whether i will be barred from entering based on these? They were all from when i was a teenager and didn't lead to any conviction or court cases. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

The question is about arrests, not just convictions. You are supposed to declare all arrests (as well as convictions).

The good news is that this was all a long time ago and it also all looks relatively minor. Not sure you have much choice but to declare everything now and provide the full list (at least what you can remember).

Hello, thank you for the response. I have wrote a letter explaining everything and including everything I can remember about the arrests. Absolutely terrified of the response but hopefully they will be understanding.

I have put as much detail as I can remember and will follow up with every detail I can get from the SAR.

Just have to pray now really. I've never had a proper conviction against me so hopefully that will count for something. I just started thinking about it and decided it's best to get ahead of it than wait for them to ask. Hopefully that counts for something too.

Good luck and let us know what happens.
