Hello,
I'd sincerely appreciate any help with this question, as I can find no answer to it on the FBI's website, and no telephone contact info for the right department. I am a US citizen preparing my permanent residency application for Canada, and am currently in Canada on a temporary visitor's visa. I went to the RCMP to have my fingerprints taken so I could send them off to the FBI to request my police certificate. But on the FBI's instructional page for how to submit this request, they tell you to download their own form, FD-258, for fingerprints. I already had mine done on the RCMP's fingerprint card, form GRC C-216C. The forms appear identical in terms of where the fingerprints go, but have a different layout for entering personal info.
Does anyone know if the FBI will accept this RCMP form, or will I have to go get my prints done again using the FBI's form?
Thanks so much for your help!
