Hi all, my current employer sponsored for my PNP nomination and my PR application was submitted back in Nov 2013. All requested document and medical have been sent and received, so theoretically speaking, I should be very close. Another job opportunity maybe coming up and they will get a LMO and new work permit etc for me. My question is will changing jobs affect my federal PNP application? Do I have to reapply all over again, like under the canadian experience class for example? any advice/thoughts are greatly appreciated, thanks much.

Were you nominated by a province? If yes you can change your employer but you have to notify your nominee office and ask for a letter of support and that along with a job offer letter from the new employer should be your ticket to a new WP, you don't need LMO again you would b way pass that!! I had to change employer recently and I got back an open WP though I had 19 months left on the old one
Hope this helps

Hi Princessniquie,

I just saw your reply, thanks so much. I had not followed the procedure as closely as I should have, been relying too much on the immigration consultant. Looking back, here's what I had to do. I was first nominated by my employer for the Ontario PNP, and then after I got the Ontario PNP nomination, I then applied for the Federal; and this is where my application is right now. Your experience sounds very similar to my situation, do you mind sharing a bit more information on your experience? For example, where, what I need, and how should I go about getting the "support letter", and the next steps to get the open WP etc.

Your suggestions are much appreciated, as you can imagine, it is very difficult for me to ask my immigration consultant because they are employed by my current employer. Any suggestions for a good immigration consultant would be great too. Thanks.
