I have a problem with my boyfriend PNP. :-\
Short story long. He had a common law relationship for 20 years and has a kid together. Then he sponsored his ex and kid to come to Canada. His ex has received a open work permit and currently work as a part timer. However he didn't realize that if he sponsored his ex for PR through PNP, he will have a responsibility to stay together for at least 2 years. Currently he hasn't apply for PNP yet because I told him what the case. If he pursued to sponsor his ex, we would not able together.
The main issue of his is he doesn't want his kid far away from the mom. That is reason why he wanted to sponsor his ex. I have told him that he can leave her ex out by not putting on PNP application and PR. Since his ex has been working, she can find a full time job for the same employer for 6 months, then she can apply for PNP for herself. Is there any better suggestion?
