Hey,

I sposored my wife and her immigration application is in progress at london office. she is in pakistan and now she is pregnant. we recieved application file number almost 9 months back. can any one tell me what steps do we have to follow now?

all you can do now is wait until the visa office contacts your wife and is ready to issue the visa.

she can try to apply for a visitor's visa to come visit you, though i suspect it will be very difficult if she is from pakistan. she will not be able to receive any governmental health care while she's in canada as a visitor.

thanx rhcohen2014 for reply.
we applied visitor visa for her but it got refused. all my concerns is that they wont cancel her immigration application saying she need to re apply once the baby is born. should we notify them right now or should we wait for the birth and than let them know.

they are not going to cancel your application because she was refused a visitor's visa or because she is pregnant. there is no need to notify CIC about her pregnancy until she actually has the baby.

ok good to know and do u know that now that application is being processed in london embassy. should i expect her visa in 11 months as per london embassy estimated time for this catagory or would they gonna process it according to islamabad embassy estimated time that is 34 months since my wife is in pakistan. still confused about it. if she gets a visa in 11 months than that means she only have 3 months to get the visa since it has already been 9 months into this application.

I would expect London timeliness to apply to your application being processed at the London VO.

CIC instruction guide says:

Updating your contact information

During the application process, you must advise us of any change of address or telephone number. You can do this by going to Change of address or by consulting the How to contact CIC section at the end of this guide.

Note: If your personal situation changes (for example change of marital status, birth of a child, or you wish to withdraw your sponsorship, etc.) after you have submitted your application, you must contact us.

Considering the extra efforts that will be required from London to process an app from outside the UK (i.e. getting info from Pakistan), i would expect a longer than average time for these apps in the London office. But probably shorter than what they would have been in Islamabad.
