wife holds PR card but leaving with husband in USA

My wife is a landed immigrant with PR card, I am not a citizen or residence of Canada, I currently work in the united states and my wife moved here to live with me after we got married.
she has not lived in Canada since 2011. Her PR expiration is next year, will she be able to renew her PR status or lose it.
is there a way she will be able to renew her status.
I would appreciate all suggestions.

She can only renew a PR card if she is inside Canada, and only if she has resided in Canada for 2 out of the last 5 years at time of renewal. So she would need to move back to Canada at a minimum.

You would need to provide actual exact dates like how long she lived in Canada before moving to US, and exactly when her PR card expires... to get some more specific advice.

PR status doesn't expire or go away. PR status can only be voluntarily given up, or revoked after a hearing with CIC.

Tons of people have traveled into Canada on expired PR cards, or on valid PR cards even though they can't meet residency obligation. So it's often not a big deal to "convince a border officer", especially if you are driving over a land border instead of flying.

If one does not meet residency obligations they MAY be reported to CIC, during which CIC could revoke PR card during a hearing. That is why I asked for OPs actual travel history, to see if this is a possibility.
